Your Health Care SystemCritical Technology Sidetracked
If you were told that a highly advanced medical information system using the very latest in technology is currently available that would dramatically change your lifereducing both disease levels and cost of health care by over 40% what would you think? Your first thought would likely be one of extreme doubt. What possible underlying basis could such a system be based on? Furthermore, if such a system were in fact possible we would likely learn of it through the current medical establishment.
There would, of course, be many elements involved, but before we get involved in the other aspects of such a system let’s first just concentrate on the underlying core that such a system would be based on to see if in fact it would have merit in its own right.
This is obviously a key element in the development of an effective system.
That core of this system would be the extensive use of clinical laboratory science
So just what is clinical laboratory science (CLS) and why would it be so great? Most of us are not familiar with CLS because the only exposure we have to it is through our doctor. Whenever we have a questionable health problem our doctor will often run some lab testsusually blood, urine, or tissue tests. The doctor orders the tests and also receives all the results from the laboratories. For that reason the public has very limited exposure to the industry and as a result very limited knowledge of the industry.
CLS is a separate branch of the current medical system, highly computerized and a very rapidly advancing science. It now has hundreds of critical high quality tests available.
Why is CLS so effective what is it based on? It is based primarily on the biochemical makeup of the human body and has proven itself to be very effective over the years within the current medical system as a reliable science. It provides an opportunity to look directly into the human body for secrets not available by any other means.
For direct information on the relationship of CLS and biochemical makeup of the human body please click on the link at the end of this article marked (page18). This link includes statements and opinions by the professionals in the clinical science profession. The professionals referenced are from text books located in the University of Michigan’s Medical Library.
To go one step further in order and see some of the actual advances made in CLS, click on the link at the end of the article marked (pages43-47). It is obvious by the dates involved in these references that even these developments would be outdated by now considering CLS’s rapid advancement.
So the question is, is this a good solid basis on which to develop an effective medical information system for disease prevention and development of wellness?
Personally, I decided it was. I believe it is extremely valuable and would form an almost unbelievable basis for a health care system beyond our wildest dreams. However, such a system would need to be a highly sophisticated national electronic processing system, legislated into existence and controlled by the public through a commission to be fully effective. The system would act as a sophisticated information system as an addition to the current health care system.
Over a 100 million people in this country are suffering with chronic disease–that is more than one out of every three of us. Furthermore, many of these diseases are of a very serious nature, including the major terminal and crippling diseases that we are all too familiar with and too often a witness to within our own family, circle of friends and neighbors.
Millions are truly sufferingand with some of these diseases, to often terribly.
And, it doesn’t end there, even those of us that are fortunate enough to avoid the diseases still have to live with the continual threat, along with the excessively high cost of health care that such high levels of disease creates– causing an enormous amount of stress throughout the entire country.
At the University of Michigan, not only was I was very surprised as to the amount of advanced analytical data I found available within CLS during my research, but I also found it very exciting, because I could see the great potential that such developments could provide in terms of health care. When one looks closely at the availability of this very extensive and highly advanced analytical data on one hand, and the high levels of chronic disease and suffering on the other, it becomes obvious that what we need is some means of harnessing these analytical elements and relating them directly to human health on a broad scale basis, for the purpose of reducing chronic disease and raising the level of wellness.
It became obvious that in order to create a system that would take full advantage of such critical health data, provide maximum benefits for the public, while at the same time effectively working in conjunction with the present medical system, a very sophisticated electronic processing system with a large number of very special features. This would include special provisions to fully safeguard personal confidential health records. Because of the complexity involved I felt it necessary to provide it in the form of a book.
This system was designed solely around the interests of the individual and the public and not around the needs of the medical profession and as such your support is absolutely necessary if it is to be successful. It’s essential that you (the public) extend the effort to look into the system to see if it has merit.
The question also arises as to why nothing has happened within the current medical system involving the development of such a disease prevention system? Is it just oversight or is it because all of the huge income generated in the health care field is through the evaluation and control of diseasenot in the prevention of disease or the promotion of wellness?
Furthermore, there may also be a more important factor involved here. Not only would a successful disease prevention system not generate additional income for the industry, but even far worse, it would also severely undermine the huge income currently being generated from the current excessively high levels of chronic disease.
I personally feel it is very sad indeed, having this huge source of vital health data just sitting there underused with so much unnecessary suffering going on.
I spent five years researching and writing the book. It is written specifically for the layperson. No technical education is necessary. For more information on the proposed system and the author click on this link http://www.Newhealthcaresystem.net
